Houdini’s Code is a rock band from Cleveland, Ohio founded in 2022 by Kevin Cedar (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) and Shawn Davis (Lead Guitar, Vocals). Friends since 5th grade, the band came to life after the death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, a loss that pushed them to stop waiting and finally go for it. The band has since grown into a full five piece, now joined by Miqe Smith (Drums), Juan Lopez (Rhythm Guitar, Backup Vocals), and Clarissa Cuomo (Bass).
The band made their debut with Escape, released March 24, 2024 on the 150th birthday of Harry Houdini, and have since headlined over 20 shows across Ohio and Michigan. Their music has surpassed 20,000 streams, their videos have crossed 20,000 views, and their presence continues to grow across every platform.
Houdini’s Code has been featured twice in Cleveland Scene, aired over ten times on 107.3 ALT CLE, and appeared on Big Play Sports Network with another appearance scheduled for June 2026.
Their most ambitious work is ahead. Believe, releasing August 2026, features Nik Hughes, drummer for Bush, and Kent Slucher, drummer for Luke Bryan, both appearing on the album.
With a tour on the horizon and Believe on the way, Houdini’s Code is just getting started.
