Skeleton Drive is the indie music project of Dillon Rae Oliver, blending elements of folk music, emo, punk, and pop into a cathartic blend of so-called “folk-emo”. Hailing from Northeast Ohio, Dillon started Skeleton Drive in late 2018, writing and recording songs right out of their apartment in Kent, Ohio. After 3 EPs and several years of playing local music venues, coffee shops, bars, and art galleries, they amassed a tight local following in the greater Akron and Cleveland areas. By 2022 they had begun opening for larger touring acts passing through and, not long after, were going on tours throughout the Midwest and New England areas themself.
In 2024, Skeleton Drive dropped their debut LP “Go home.”, which incorporated more instrumentation, giving the music a more rounded, full-band sound. Now, after honing in their sound and releasing more and more increasingly well-written and recorded songs, Skeleton Drive continues to perform regularly and is currently mapping out their Summer 2026 tour, which will be their biggest endeavor yet.
