Aaron Smith & RDAA
By the time he was 10 Aaron was recording professionally. That gave him a platform to learn more and stretch his musical abilities. At 18 Aaron was traveling nationally playing for various gospel groups, touring and eventually was given the opportunity to teach drum clinics all over the United States. Aaron transferred from Berklee College Of Music to Indiana University to finish his college degree in music. It was in that transition where his social media presence began to grow phenomenally and he started to teach aspiring musicians on an international scale.
He has played for and recorded for a number of well-known groups and artists nationally and internationally including Doobie Powell, The Williams Singers, Indian Music Director Sandeep Chowta, Indian Producer/Artist Aakash Kahan Hai, and many more. He also has worked and toured with World Of Dance as Musical Director in 2019. Most recently Aaron has played for and toured with Ukrainian pop superstar Tina Karol. Currently he is producing his second album called “1991” which will feature numerous independent and world, renowned artists such as Amber Navran, B.Slade, Micki Miller, and more. He is looking forward to working with more eclectic artists and using his social media influence to give back to the musical community by hosting events, concerts and tours on a global scale as an artist, as well as also hosting drum clinics/masterclasses in the future.
Aaron has recently started his band “Aaron Smith & RDAA” a jazz/fusion band with the influence of RnB. This band consists of Antuan Walker, AJ Tyus, Deron Bell Jr, Raymond King-Redding III, Daria Raymore, and Evan Taylor. Each member has a wide resume of artists that they’ve worked for or collaborated with in their musical careers. The band is full of energy and creativity. Playing original music from Aaron’s EP 765, upcoming album 1991, and also performing music from jazz/RnB influenced musical artists such as Robert Glasper, Moonchild, and many more well known artists in the industry.
