"Back To 2005" Movie Premiere
Where were you nearly 20 years ago? Whether you were enrolled in elementary school or putting a down payment on your first pad, the year 2005 was a much, much different time. Stand-up comedian and actor, Mike Reasor, used that jarring juxtaposition to create a hilarious concept for his first full-length film, “Back to 2005.” It chronicles the adventures of Reasor’s fictional alter-ego, The Time Traveller, who is teleported to the current day and desperately tries to get back home to the near-past. Music, fashion, cancel culture, technology, inflation, politics– nothing was off the table for a punchline!
Two years ago, Reasor began filming short videos for social media under the handle @thacrowdplezer with friend and social media influencer, Ronald Mayo @HeybertFlexworthy. The self-financed film was all shot in Ohio, from the noticeable C-Town Gas Station and The East Side Market Plaza on Cleveland’s east side, to Other World in Columbus. The PG-13 movie has a 90-minute runtime and there will be two all-ages showings at Grog Shop (2785 Euclid Heights Blvd.) on Sunday, March 3 in honor of the premiere; one at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. You can watch the trailer for the movie here, via YouTube.
